About my work:
My paintings draw inspiration from traditional indian mehndi patterns. I paint on block mounted canvas and start with simple lines and shapes, slowly working them into bold designs. By combining unusual and striking colours, I create unique artwork. I enjoy working with acrylic paint. It dries quickly and is easily mutable. Embellishing my work with a variety of beads gives the paintings an intricate and decorative feel. These pieces
of art are very contemporary and will complement a modern home or office space beautifully.
I also do pencil sketches, pen and ink drawings and I am currently researching some modern art techniques that I would like to incorporate into my future work.
